Create Recovery Templates

What does this do for me?

Templates let you write your own recovery subject and body once and reuse them. Saved templates your plan is entitled to replace the built-in recovery copy.

Before you begin

Saving templates requires the Shopify store account owner. Staff see the page read-only.

1. Open the editor

  1. Open Templates in Abandoned Cart Pro.
  2. Use the Template editor on the left.

2. Fill in the template

  • Template name - required.
  • Channel - Email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
  • Required tier - Free, Pro $4.99**, or **Advanced $12.99.
  • Email subject - enabled for email templates.
  • Message body - must include the {{recovery_url}} merge tag.
Supported merge tags are {{customer}}, {{recovery_url}}, {{store}}, and {{cart_total}}. Empty fields fall back to the built-in copy. A Live preview pane shows sample values (customer “Alex”, store “Aurora Goods”, a USD 49.00 cart).

3. Save and reuse

  1. Select Save template.
  2. The editor switches to Edit saved template; later changes use Update template.
  3. Select Start new template to begin a fresh one.
  4. Under Saved templates, each saved template lists its name, channel, and required tier, with a Load in editor button.
If the selected Required tier is higher than your current plan, the template is disabled until that tier is active, with an Upgrade plan action.
