Merge orders from Shopify admin

What does this do for me?

Order Merge Pro adds three extensions to Shopify admin so you can see merge status and start a merge without leaving the order you are working on. Admin UI extensions require elevated access scopes, and the extensions use a signed session token to reach the app.

Merge with orders (order details action)

On an order’s detail page, the Merge with orders action opens a panel:
  1. The panel shows the Primary order — the order you opened. Enter the other orders in Secondary Shopify order IDs, using full order IDs or the order ID numbers separated by commas.
  2. Add an optional Merge reason.
  3. Select Start merge, then Confirm merge. The first select is a safety step because the action is irreversible.
A Merge job started banner confirms the job with a link to it. If the order ID you are viewing cannot be turned into a job link, the banner tells you to open Order Merge Pro from Shopify Admin. There is also an Open matching candidates in Order Merge Pro action that takes you to the dashboard with the related candidate first.

Merge selected orders (order index action)

On the orders list, select two or more orders and open the Merge selected orders action:
  1. Choose the Primary order to keep.
  2. Add an optional Merge reason.
  3. Select Start merge, then Confirm merge.
The panel tells you how many selected orders will be validated before the merge starts. You need at least two orders selected, and the primary plus at least one secondary.

Order merge status (order details block)

The Order merge status block on an order’s detail page shows whether the order was merged with Order Merge Pro:
  • This order hasn’t been merged with Order Merge Pro yet. when there is no merge record.
  • Otherwise, a Primary order or Secondary order badge, the Merge job link, and, when available, Merged into, Includes, and Reason.
If the block cannot load the merge status, it shows Merge status unavailable with a Try again button. Pcnaid Documentation › Shopify Ecosystem › Order Merge Pro › Merchant
