Invite household members

What does this do for me?

An invitation lets another signed-in person join the selected household with a role you choose.

Create an invitation

You must be the household owner to complete this task with the default role permissions in the reviewed source snapshot.
  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select the Members tab.
  3. Select Invite Member.
  4. Choose Owner, Adult, Teen, Child, Guest, or Co-parent.
  5. To send an email, enter the address and select the email action. To share the invitation yourself, select Generate Link, then copy the link.
The screen shows member-management controls to owners and adults. However, default permissions allow only owners to complete the invitation, so an adult without a custom administration permission receives an access-denied response. If email delivery is not configured or fails after an owner creates the invitation, the application keeps the shareable link available for manual sharing.

After the person receives the invitation

The invitation link opens /invite/<token>. After the signed-in recipient accepts it, HouseholdOS returns them to the Dashboard and adds an active membership for that household.
