Add and Verify a Domain

What does this do for me?

Adding a domain creates its Cloudflare custom-hostname record and gives you the CNAME details needed to delegate future certificate validation.

Add the domain

  1. In the signed-in portal, open Domains.
  2. Choose Add Domain.
  3. Enter the domain name. Tags and notes are optional.
  4. Choose Add Domain to create it.
Use Bulk mode to paste domains separated by commas or new lines. The backend accepts at most 100 domains in one bulk request and reports created and rejected entries separately.

Publish the DNS record

  1. Find the domain in the table and expand its row.
  2. Under Verification, copy both CNAME Host and CNAME Value.
  3. At the service that hosts the domain’s authoritative DNS, create a CNAME using those exact values.
  4. Return to DelegatedSSL after DNS has had time to propagate.

Check the result

Choose Verify DNS in the expanded row, or open the domain action menu and choose Verify DNS Delegation. Recheck status refreshes both validation and certificate state from Cloudflare. The domain table can show Active, Action Needed, Blocked, or Pending. Expand a row to see the validation state, certificate issuer, issue and renewal dates when available, and the last reported error.
