Fixing the ‘Not Secure’ Warning

When visitors go to your website, their web browser checks to see if the connection is private. If it is not, the browser displays a “Not Secure” warning. This can scare away customers.

Why is it happening?

Your website needs a digital certificate to prove it is safe. This changes your web address from http:// to https:// (the “s” stands for secure). Without it, information sent to or from your website is not protected.

How AutoCertify helps

AutoCertify does the heavy lifting for you by providing a platform that:
  1. Checks your site: We scan your site to see if it is currently secure.
  2. Issues certificates: We handle the complicated process of requesting the required security certificate.
  3. Validates your setup: We check that your domain records are correct before finalizing anything.
AutoCertify will only show your site as active once the setup is completely successful and active. We never pretend your site is secure if the process is still pending.

What do I need to do?

You just need to sign up and add your domain. Then, you will be asked to add a small record to where you bought your domain name (like GoDaddy or Namecheap). If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, AutoCertify lets you securely invite your web developer to finish the setup for you without sharing your password. Ready to start?
