Adding Your First Domain

Follow these steps to add your website to AutoCertify and start securing it.

Step 1: Sign up

Go to the AutoCertify website and enter your email address. We use a secure, passwordless signup process. You will receive an email with a link to log in.

Step 2: Add your website name

Once you are logged into your dashboard, find the option to add a new site. Type in your website’s name (for example, yourstore.com).

Step 3: Complete the setup

To prove that you own the website, you will need to add a small piece of text called a CNAME record to your domain settings. AutoCertify will show you exactly what to copy and paste. It will look something like: _acme-challenge.yourstore.com.

Step 4: Wait for activation

After you update your domain settings, AutoCertify will check to make sure it is correct. Your certificate will only become active once the entire process is successfully completed and the external provider reports it as active. This can take a little bit of time depending on your provider.

Need to involve a developer?

If you prefer to have a professional handle Step 3, you can generate a secure invite link from your dashboard. When your developer clicks the link, they can add the necessary record for that specific website without needing full access to your AutoCertify account.
