Getting started with Pcnaid Safe Bulk

What does this do for me?

Pcnaid Safe Bulk turns catalog changes into a governed workflow. You can import a product CSV, inspect what will change, collect approvals, apply the changes through Shopify, and roll back if needed.

1. Install the app

1. Open Pcnaid Safe Bulk in the Shopify App Store and select Add app.
2. Review the access scopes (read_products, write_products) and select Install.

Installation creates a starter project called Getting started with two disabled example playbooks: a tag governance playbook and a metafield backfill playbook. It does not change your catalog.

2. Complete the setup

1. Open the app in your Shopify admin. You will see a Setup page.
2. If installation already seeded the workspace, select Claim admin access to claim the first administrator role. If the page instead shows Create workspace, select it to seed the starter workspace and claim the role.
3. After the workspace is ready, choose a plan or verify developer access before starting paid bulk operations.

The first staff member to complete the workspace automatically becomes the administrator. Other staff members require a role assignment from an admin.

3. Understand the navigation

The app’s sidebar provides these sections:

• Dashboard — activity overview with change-set, approval, job, and risk metrics.
• Setup — workspace status and billing setup.
• Projects — organize related imports and playbooks.
• CSV import — upload a product CSV to create a reviewable change set.
• Change sets — find, review, approve, and execute or roll back change sets.
• Playbooks — create reusable vendor-price, metafield, or tag-governance workflows.
• Settings — team roles, billing, jobs, and privacy exports.
