Configure supervision policies and settings

What does this do for me?

Use Settings to choose how the app can act in each area of your store, decide where purchase-order drafts are emailed for approval, and — if you want — use your own OpenAI key for analysis.

Choose how the app can act in each area

Open Settings. Under Supervision policies, the app lists policies for each store area:
  • Inventory — purchase orders and product tags.
  • Content and SEO — product search titles and descriptions.
  • Revenue — discount codes.
For each area, set:
  • Enabled — choose Yes or No to turn the policy on or off.
  • How the app can act — choose Suggest only, Ask before changing, or Guarded automatic.
  • Daily action limit — how many actions of each type the app can run in a day.
  • Max discount % — the largest discount the app can propose.
  • Allowed changes — which change types are allowed in that area.
When you are done, select Save. The saved policy guides what the analysis may recommend and what may be executed.

Set a purchase-order approval email

Under Purchasing, add a Purchase order approval email. To email a purchase order draft for approval, add an email address. Without one, the app will not send the draft and records that delivery was not attempted.

Use your own OpenAI key (optional)

Under AI configuration, you can add an OpenAI API key (bring your own key). The Key status badge shows whether your own key is saved, whether the platform-managed key is in use, or that no key is configured. Your saved key is stored encrypted and is never shown to you again. To return to the platform-managed key, choose Remove saved key. When no key is configured, analysis shows a message prompting you to add an OpenAI API key in Settings → AI configuration. Next, see how these policies guide your reviews in the recommendations guide.
