# Settings & Notification Preferences

> Configure email notification alerts, manage SaaS subscription billing, and secure account credentials.

# Settings & Notification Preferences

The **Settings** panel (`https://lifecyclemanager.app/settings`) provides controls for managing automated email notifications, accessing subscription billing, and administering authentication security.

## Notification preferences

You can customize which transactional and system events trigger notifications to your authorized merchant email:

| Notification Option | Default | Purpose |
| - | - | - |
| **Transaction alerts** | Enabled (`true`) | Real-time email notifications whenever a buyer completes an Apple Pay checkout on your store. |
| **Failure alerts** | Enabled (`true`) | Immediate critical alerts if an Apple Pay session validation fails, a DNS CNAME record drops, or an mTLS gateway error occurs. |
| **Weekly summaries** | Disabled (`false`) | A weekly executive digest summarizing total Apple Pay GMV, transaction count, refund rate, and conversion metrics. |

### Updating notification settings

1. In the dashboard, navigate to **Settings** (`/settings`).
2. In the right-hand **Notifications** card, check or uncheck your desired notification categories.
3. Click **Save notifications**.
4. The dashboard posts updates to `PATCH /applepay-lifecycle/v1/settings` (or `PUT /applepay-lifecycle/v1/settings/notifications`) and displays a success notification upon completion.

## Managing subscription billing

Your Lifecycle Manager SaaS subscription is managed securely through the integrated Stripe Customer Portal:

* **Plans**: Starter ($49/month) or Pro ($99/month).
* **Billing Portal**: Click **Open billing** in the **Billing** card (`/settings/billing`). You can download historical PDF invoices, update your corporate payment method, view renewal dates, or change subscription tiers.
* **Application Fee**: The 1% per-transaction platform application fee is deducted automatically by Stripe Connect during transaction settlement and is not billed on your monthly SaaS invoice.

## Account security & password management

* **Password Changes**: Click **Manage password in Auth0** (`/settings/security`) to trigger an authenticated password update via Auth0 Universal Login.
* **Two-Factor Authentication (MFA)**: Enroll your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Apple Passwords) within the Auth0 security portal.
* **Sign Out**: Click the **Sign out** button to terminate your current session and clear stored tokens across all active browser tabs.
