# Onboarding Steps

> Step-by-step walkthrough of the 7-stage onboarding wizard to activate Apple Pay for your store.

# Onboarding Steps

Pcnaid Lifecycle Manager for Apple Pay® features a guided 7-stage onboarding wizard (`/signup/*`) designed to fulfill all cryptographic, legal, and payment processor prerequisites before enabling live transactions.

**1. Account creation (/signup/account)**

Create your merchant login using Auth0 Universal Login. Provide your primary email address, account password, and legal business name. You will receive an email confirmation link to verify your ownership.

**2. Plan selection (/signup/plan)**

Select your Lifecycle Manager subscription tier:

* **Starter (\$49 / month)**: Hosted checkout subdomain on `pay.lifecyclemanager.app/{merchant}`, automated domain association, and Stripe Connect settlement.
* **Pro (\$99 / month)**: Branded checkout subdomain on `applepay.{merchant}.com` via Cloudflare Custom Hostnames, team management with roles, and advanced reporting.

*(Both plans include Pcnaid's standard 1% application fee per transaction deducted automatically prior to payout).*

**3. Subscription billing (/signup/subscription)**

Activate your platform subscription by adding a corporate credit or debit card through the secure Stripe checkout session. Once payment is confirmed, your subscription status updates to active. If you already have an active subscription, duplicate checkout is blocked and you are routed directly forward.

**4. Merchant KYC via Stripe Connect (/signup/stripe-connect)**

Complete the embedded Stripe Connect onboarding flow (`ConnectAccountOnboarding`). You will submit your legal entity details, beneficial ownership, and bank payout account.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Mandatory Verification Gate**: Apple Pay Payment Service Provider (PSP) regulations require Pcnaid to verify merchant identity before domain association. You cannot advance to domain provisioning until Stripe reports `detailsSubmitted=true` and `chargesEnabled=true`.

**5. Domain verification (/signup/domain)**

Configure your checkout subdomain:

* On **Pro**, specify your custom hostname (e.g., `applepay.yourstore.com`) and add the designated CNAME record pointing to Pcnaid's edge. Pcnaid provisions a Cloudflare Custom Hostname with an automated SSL certificate.
* On **Starter**, your store is assigned an isolated path on `pay.lifecyclemanager.app/{merchant}`.

Pcnaid serves the required Apple cryptographic file at `/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association` and registers the domain with Apple's Mass Enablement API.

**6. Platform connector installation (/signup/shopify)**

Install the private platform connector (Shopify private custom app). The connector accomplishes three automated tasks:

1. Authenticates OAuth permissions for order writebacks.
2. Injects the native Apple Pay button block into your store's cart and product page templates.
3. Configures order webhooks back to the Pcnaid Control Plane.

**7. Completion & verification (/signup/complete)**

Review the final system readiness checklist confirming all five prerequisites:

* Active SaaS subscription
* Verified Stripe KYC
* Provisioned SSL certificate
* Verified Apple Pay domain registration
* Connected storefront app
