# Use the shopping list

# Use the shopping list

## What does this do for me?

The Shopping list keeps shared grocery and household items visible to all members. Inventory tracks what you own and where it is, with optional room-based organization through the Floor Plan view.

## Add an item to the shopping list

1. Open **Shopping** in the **Home** section.
2. Select **Add Item**.
3. Enter the item name and optional quantity.
4. Select **Add**.

All household members with access to the shopping collection can see and check off items.

## Manage inventory

1. Open **Inventory** in the **Home** section.
2. Select **Add Item**.
3. Enter the item name, quantity, and optional storage location or room.
4. Select **Add**.

Inventory items can be linked to a room on the **Floor Plan** view for desktop and tablet, which shows a multi-story room layout with item placement.

## Organize by room

1. Open **Floor Plan** in the **Home** section.
2. Select a room on the floor plan to see its inventory items and documented value.
3. Use the spatial editor on desktop or tablet to place items in rooms.

Mobile supports browsing floor, room value, and inventory details.
