# Manage chores

> Create, assign, and track household chores and recurring tasks.

# Manage chores

## What does this do for me?

The Chores screen lets you create recurring or one-time chores, assign them to household members, and track completions.

## Create a chore

1. Open **Chores** in the **Planning** section.
2. Select **Add Chore**.
3. Enter a name, select an assignee, and set the frequency (one-time, daily, weekly, or monthly).
4. Select **Add**.

## Complete a chore

1. Open **Chores**.
2. Select the completion checkbox next to a chore.
3. HouseholdOS records the completion and shows it on the chore history.

## Edit or remove a chore

Use the pencil action to edit a chore's name, assignee, or frequency. Use the trash action to remove it. A 15-minute Worker cron generates new chore instances for recurring chores that are due.

## View chore history

Open **Chores** and select a completed chore to see who completed it and when. The Dashboard also shows recently completed chores.
