# Navigate the dashboard

> Use the EntityShield dashboard to view key metrics, compliance health, and recent activity at a glance.

# Navigate the dashboard

## What does this do for me?

The dashboard is the first page you see after signing in at `entityshield.app`. It shows your entity count, overall compliance score, recently updated records, and any upcoming deadlines.

## Open the dashboard

1. Sign in at `entityshield.app`.
2. The dashboard opens automatically. If you are already signed in, select **Dashboard** in the sidebar.

## What you see

* **Entity count** — total number of entities in your account.
* **Compliance score** — overall percentage with a weighted ring chart. Categories include permits and licenses, governance filings, and renewals.
* **At-risk indicators** — entities or records flagged for missing or expiring items.
* **Recent activity** — a list of recently created or updated records.

## Filter by date range

Use the date-range picker on the dashboard to filter recent activity. The page refreshes to show records within the selected window.

## Navigate from the dashboard

Select any entity name to open its detail page. Select a compliance category to jump to the compliance health page.
