# EntityShield for users

## What does this do for me?

EntityShield gives you one place to record business entities, their locations, permits and licenses, governance filings, renewals, and related work.

The main application has separate pages for the dashboard, entities, permits, locations, filings, renewals, people, tasks, team, compliance, calendar, reports, documents, billing, and profile settings. What you can open or change depends on your assigned permissions.

## Which portal should I use?

* Use the main application for account-level entity and compliance administration.
* Use the workspace portal when you received access to a specific entity or location workspace.
* Use the governance portal when you received governance access for an entity.
* The staff portal is reserved for Pcnaid staff operations.
