# Send a Client Verification Link

## What does this do for me?

A verification link lets a client see and verify one domain's DNS record without signing in to your organization or seeing the rest of your portal.

## Prepare the handoff

1. Add the domain under **Domains**.
2. If needed, open **White Label** to set the agency name, logo URL, support email, primary color, and client handoff message template.

## Create and send the link

1. Open **Verification Links** and choose **Create Link**.
2. Select the domain and create the link.
3. Copy the secure URL or the prepared handoff message shown by the portal, then send it to the client.

The server also attempts a background email when email delivery is configured and the domain is already associated with a client record that has a contact address. Link creation still succeeds when email is unavailable or delivery fails, so use the copyable URL when you need to confirm the handoff yourself.

New links expire 45 days after creation. Creating or reminding from a domain reuses its newest active, unexpired link; it creates a new link when the previous one is completed or expired.

## What the client does

The client opens the link, copies the displayed CNAME host and value into authoritative DNS, and chooses **Verify DNS Record**. The public page checks the domain through Cloudflare. A successful check marks the link completed; otherwise the client can return and try again after propagation.
