# Manage wholesale companies

> Create and edit B2B companies with tiers, payment terms, discounts, and order limits.

# Manage wholesale companies

## What does this do for me?

A company is the wholesale account you sell to. Each company carries its own tier, payment terms, discount, tax-exempt flag, and order limits, and it connects to customers, locations, and price lists.

## Create a company

1. Open **Companies**.
2. Select **Create company**.
3. Under **Company identity**, fill in **Company name**, an optional **B2B tier** (default `standard`), and a **Status** of **Active**, **Inactive**, or **Pending**.
4. Under **Commercial terms**, set **Payment terms** to **None**, **Net 15**, **Net 30**, **Net 45**, **Net 60**, or **Net 90**, a **Default discount**, a **Tax exempt** flag, and an **Assigned sales rep**.
5. Under **Order limits**, set **Minimum total item quantity** and an optional **Maximum order value (optional)**.
6. Select **Create company** to save.

The **Tax exempt** helper notes that flags apply as `taxExempt` on B2B draft orders and require a plan that includes the feature. **Minimum total item quantity** rejects draft orders below that total, and **Maximum order value** caps the final B2B subtotal in shop currency.

## Edit or delete a company

1. In the company table, open a company and change any field. The editor heading reads **Edit `<company name>`**.
2. Select **Create company** / save to store your changes.
3. To remove one, choose **Delete** on its row, then confirm with **Delete company**. The dialog warns that this removes its contacts, locations, and price-list assignments and cannot be undone.

Use **Manage locations** to open Company locations and **Corporate accounts** to open the Premium corporate buyer screen.

## Optional: sync to a Shopify company

**Shopify company ID** accepts an optional Shopify Company GID. B2B attributes sync to Shopify Company metafields only when that ID is provided, and the helper states this requires **Shopify Plus** and the **Premium plan**. Customer metafields still sync on all plans. Leave the field blank to use customer metafields only.

## Understand the company table

The list shows **Name**, **Status**, **Tier**, **Payment terms**, **Discount**, **Tax exempt**, **Contacts**, and **Price lists**. Empty cells read **Not set**. Use the **Search companies by name** field; when nothing matches, the list shows **No companies match your search**.
