# Link B2B customers to companies

## What does this do for me?

Linking a Shopify customer to a company is what gives that buyer B2B pricing on the storefront. Each link also carries a role of **Admin**, **Member**, or **Viewer**.

## Add a B2B customer

1. Open **B2B customers**.
2. Select **Add customer**.
3. In the modal **Add B2B customer**, paste a **Shopify customer ID** (the customer GID) and choose a **Company**.
4. Choose a **Role**: **Admin**, **Member**, or **Viewer**.
5. Select the primary action to save.

The **Shopify customer ID** helper reads **Paste the Shopify customer GID to link it to a company.**

Customers can also be linked by the configured B2B company tag in Shopify admin. If you have no companies yet, the banner **Create a company first** appears with a **Create company** link.

## Change or remove a role

1. On a row, select **Edit role**.
2. In the modal **Edit customer role**, pick a new **Role** and select **Save role**.
3. To unlink, select **Remove** on the row and confirm with **Remove customer**. The dialog notes the app will reconcile the customer's remaining company assignment and B2B metafields.

## Understand the customer table

Columns are **Customer ID**, **Company**, **Role**, **B2B tag**, and **Action**. Empty cells read **Not set**. Use the **Search customers by ID, company, tag, or role** field; when nothing matches, the list shows **No customers match your search**.
