# Finish app setup from the Dashboard

> Complete the four-step setup checklist and activate the storefront B2B pricing theme embed.

# Finish app setup from the Dashboard

## What does this do for me?

The **Dashboard** tracks four setup steps for your store. Finishing them confirms the app's company, pricing, customer, and storefront pieces are ready before your buyers use B2B pricing.

## 1. Open the setup checklist

1. Open the app in Shopify admin. The **Dashboard** is the home screen.
2. If setup is incomplete, a banner reads **Finish setting up: `<n>` of `<n>` steps left**. Select **Show steps** to expand it, or work from the setup modal titled **Set up Advanced B2B**.
3. The four step rows are **Create a company**, **Configure pricing**, **Link customers**, and **Activate storefront pricing**. Each row shows a badge of **Done**, **To do**, or **Blocked**.

Only the account owner sees the setup banner and modal.

## 2. Complete each step

1. **Create a company** — select **Review companies** or **Create company** to open the Companies screen and save a company.
2. **Configure pricing** — select **Review price lists**, **Finish price list**, or **Create price list** to open Price lists and save a price list.
3. **Link customers** — select **Review customers** or **Link customer** to open B2B customers and link a Shopify customer to a company.
4. **Activate storefront pricing** — select **Review theme embed** or **Activate theme embed** to open the theme editor and enable the **B2B pricing and login** app embed.

You can defer setup with **Skip for now** in the modal. Selecting **Continue** keeps the checklist available.

## 3. Read the storefront status

The Dashboard header shows the storefront state as **Storefront active**, **Checking storefront**, **Storefront status unavailable**, or **Storefront setup needed**. Pricing and quote status show **Active**, **Checking…**, **Status unavailable**, or **Inactive**.

A step counts as complete only when the app records your saved company, saved pricing, or saved customer link; entity counts alone do not complete a step. The storefront step completes only when the app detects the **b2b-pricing** embed active on your published theme.

## 4. Use the overview

The **Overview** section links directly to each area: **Active companies** and **Total companies** open Companies, **Wholesale orders** opens Quick order, **Active price lists** and **Rule targets** open Price lists, and **B2B customers** opens B2B customers. If the order count cannot load, the card shows **Unavailable** with a **Try again** action.
