# Manage exceptions and checklists

## What does this do for me?

The Exceptions tab shows integrity events, missed opening or closing checklists, and time entries that need manager attention.

## 1. Open the Exceptions tab

Select **Checklists** in the sidebar. The page has two tabs: **Checklists** and **Exceptions**. Select **Exceptions**.

## 2. Review integrity events

The **Integrity events** table lists:

* **Late arrivals** — Clock-in after the shift start time.
* **Location mismatches** — Clock-in outside the configured geofence.
* **Device changes** — Different device fingerprint from the last entry.
* **Open entry conflicts** — Member already has an open time entry.

Each event shows the member, severity (clean, review, or blocked), reason, and timestamp. Select **Resolve** to mark an event as handled.

## 3. Review missed checklists

The **Missed checklists** table shows checklists that are past their due date and still open. Select the template name to see which items are incomplete.

## 4. Handle unresolved time entries

The **Unresolved time entries** table shows open entries. Entries left open more than 120 minutes after the linked shift ended (or more than 16 hours with no linked shift) are flagged as **Missed clock-out**. Select **Clock out** to close an entry as a manager. The manager clock-out records the closure time as "now" and adds an audit log entry.

## 5. Create checklist templates and start checklists

On the **Checklists** tab:

1. Under **Create template**, enter a name and one checklist item per line. Select **Create template**.
2. Under **Start checklist**, select the template and a due date. Select **Start checklist**.
3. In the **Open checklist items** table, select a team member and select **Complete** to mark items done.

When all items in a run are completed, the checklist status changes to completed.
