# Edit a Page in the Visual Editor

## What does this do for me?

The editor is a three-pane workspace: the **Sections** list on the left, a live **Preview** in the middle, and the inspector for the selected section on the right. You arrange and style the page here, then save or publish.

## 1. Open a page in the editor

1. From **Home**, select a page in the **Landing pages** list, or select **Edit page** in the setup checklist.

The page title appears as the heading and a badge shows the current status (**draft**, **published**, or **unpublished**).

## 2. Work with the three panes

* **Sections** (left): the ordered list of sections. Select one to edit it, or use its **Move**, **Duplicate**, and **Remove** actions.
* **Preview** (middle): a live rendering. Select a section in the preview to select it in the list.
* **Inspector** (right): properties and settings for the selected section, plus page fields.

The three panes scroll independently.

## 3. Use the editor controls

Under **Editor controls** you can:

* Switch between **Desktop** and **Mobile** preview. The selected option is marked **(selected)**.
* Select **Undo** or **Redo** to step through changes. The editor keeps a limited history.

When you have unsaved changes, the controls show **Unsaved changes**. Saving shows **Saving…**.

## 4. Save or publish

* Select **Publish** to save your changes and make the page live on your Shopify store. The status badge changes to **published**.
* Select **Unpublish** to take a published page offline.
* Select **Export** to download the page as a standalone ZIP. Export requires the Scale or Agency plan.
* The editor also auto-saves through the Shopify Contextual Save Bar when you press **Ctrl+S** (or **Cmd+S** on Mac).

If publishing reports that the theme block needs activation, follow the warning to enable it. See [Add the SwiftPage Renderer block](https://docs.pcnaid.com/nodes/shopify/swiftpage/merchant/guides/add-the-theme-block.md).
