# SwiftPage quickstart

## What the app is

SwiftPage is an embedded Shopify app for building and publishing landing pages. Merchants build pages in a visual drag-and-drop editor and publish them to Shopify as native Pages, metaobjects, and metafields. A Theme App Extension block renders the pages as Liquid/HTML/CSS, so the storefront carries no global JavaScript.

Read the [architecture overview](https://docs.pcnaid.com/nodes/shopify/swiftpage/developer/architecture-overview.md) for the runtime and data model.

## Access scopes

The app requests this scope set (from `shopify.app.toml`):

```
read_content,write_content,read_products,write_products,read_files,write_files,read_metaobjects,write_metaobjects,read_metaobject_definitions,write_metaobject_definitions,write_app_proxy
```

| Scope | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `read_content`, `write_content` | Read and manage Shopify pages and page metafields |
| `read_products`, `write_products` | Product/collection data and product metafield association |
| `read_files`, `write_files` | Staged image uploads to Shopify Files |
| `read_metaobjects`, `write_metaobjects`, `read_metaobject_definitions`, `write_metaobject_definitions` | The `swiftpage_landing_page` metaobject and per-page metaobject upserts |
| `write_app_proxy` | The App Proxy storefront tracking endpoint |

## Extensions

The app ships one Theme App Extension: **SwiftPage Renderer** (`extensions/swiftpage-theme`), an app block of type `theme` targeting the page template. It reads the page's SwiftPage metafield, preferring the landing-page metaobject and falling back to the legacy layout metafield, and renders each section.

## Authentication model

* Merchants reach the app through Shopify's embedded admin; the SPA calls the API with a Shopify App Bridge session token (JWT).
* The API verifies each session token (HS256) and derives the shop domain from the `dest` claim to scope all queries.
* Shopify webhooks are HMAC-SHA256 verified before any handler runs. See [Webhooks](https://docs.pcnaid.com/nodes/shopify/swiftpage/developer/webhooks/index.md).

## Where the API reference is

The externally reachable surface — health, OAuth, pages, Shopify proxy, billing, feature endpoints, App Proxy, and maintenance — is documented in the [API overview](https://docs.pcnaid.com/nodes/shopify/swiftpage/developer/api/index.md).
