# Organize work with projects

## What does this do for me?

Projects group related imports, change sets, and playbooks together. Use them to keep bulk operations organized by campaign, season, or product category.

## 1. Create a project

1. Go to **Projects** in the sidebar.
2. In the **Create project** section, enter a **Name** (up to 120 characters).
3. Choose a **Data type** (Products, Metafields, Metaobjects, Customers, or Companies).
4. Select **Create project**.

A starter project called **Getting started** is created automatically during workspace setup.

## 2. Use a project

When creating an import or playbook, select a project from the dropdown to associate the work. Projects help you filter and find related change sets later.

## 3. Archive a project

1. Open the **Projects** page.
2. Find the project you want to archive.
3. Select **Archive**.

Archiving a project does not delete its change sets or playbooks. They remain available for review.
