# Configure location settings

> Turn register features on or off per location and assign the POS users and void approvers for each location.

# Configure location settings

## What does this do for me?

Each POS location has its own feature flags and its own list of authorized users. A feature only appears in POS when it is enabled for that location and the staff member is assigned to it. Location settings are account-owner only.

## 1. Choose a location

1. Open **Settings** in the app.
2. The list shows every POS location with its current settings.
3. Select the location you want to configure.

## 2. Turn features on or off

Toggle each register feature for the location:

* **Price adjustments** — lowers a cart line price while preserving the SKU.
* **Voids** — voids eligible uncaptured authorizations.
* **Store credit** — issues store credit to a customer.

A feature that is off does not appear for staff at that location, and any request for it is refused by the app.

## 3. Assign users and void approvers

1. Add the POS users who may operate at this location.
2. Add the managers who may approve voids. A manager must also be listed as an authorized user.
3. Save the location.

If you list a manager who is not also an authorized user, the app highlights the affected assignment field and asks you to fix it.

## 4. Effect in POS

The POS tiles check the location settings before they render. When a feature is disabled or your user is not assigned, the tile is disabled and explains why. The backend re-checks the same settings before every operation, so a change takes effect even if a POS screen was left open.
