# Run a simulation

## What does this do for me?

Simulation lets you test how the assistant responds to prompts using your saved settings — without publishing theme changes or sending real support handoffs.

## Included sample prompts

Start with these included questions:

* **"What is your return policy?"**
* **"Find a red dress under \$100."**
* **"Can you promise delivery tomorrow?"**

## Run a simulation

1. Open **Simulation** from the app navigation.
2. Review the sample prompts. Edit, replace, or clear them as needed.
3. Select **Run simulation**.

Simulation accepts up to **20 prompts** with up to **1,000 characters** in each prompt. The page identifies either limit before sending the request.

## Review results

The results table compares each prompt with:

* **Answer** — the assistant's response
* **Customer sentiment** — detected sentiment
* **Support handoff** — whether the assistant would send a handoff

Simulations do not send real handoffs to your configured destinations.

## Adjust settings

Use **Review assistant settings** when a response needs adjustment. This opens the Settings page so you can update brand voice, guardrails, or other configuration.
