# Use Pro automation

> Set up blackout windows, save and reuse campaign templates, and configure lifecycle email alerts.

# Use Pro automation

## What does this do for me?

The **Automation** page (Pro) lets you block protected dates so campaigns cannot be scheduled across them, save a proven campaign as a reusable template, and receive email alerts when a campaign is scheduled, started, completed, or fails.

## Blackout windows

1. Open **Automation** in the app. If you are on Pro, the page shows **Pro enabled**.
2. Under **Blackout windows**, enter a **Window name**, **Starts**, and **Ends** time, then select **Add window**.
3. The window is saved in the shop timezone shown on the page. While a blackout window overlaps a campaign, the app refuses to schedule it.
4. To remove a window, select **Delete** for that row and confirm.

## Campaign templates

1. Under **Campaign templates**, choose a **Source campaign** and enter a **Template name**, then select **Save template**.
2. To reuse a template, select **Use template** for it. The app re-validates every referenced product, theme, and customer segment and creates a fresh editable draft, which opens in the edit form. The template's discount code is not copied, so you configure your own discount.
3. To remove a template, select **Delete** and confirm.

Templates are versioned snapshots of a campaign. A product, theme, or segment referenced by a template that is missing or no longer active causes the app to refuse to create the draft until you update the source campaign and save the template again.

## Campaign alerts

1. Under **Campaign alerts**, enter an **Alert email** and turn on **Enable alerts**.
2. Choose which lifecycle events you want: **Scheduled**, **Started**, **Completed**, and **Failed**.
3. Select **Save alerts**.

Alerts are delivered through Pcnaid's infrastructure. If alert delivery is configured in the app but the operator has not set the required provider keys, the page shows a warning that messages cannot send yet. Delivery results appear in the recent-events list.
