# Configure your agent profile

## What does this do for me?

Your agent profile tells external agents what your store sells, which payment methods you accept, and where to send requests. Publishing an active profile makes your store discoverable.

## 1. Open the Agent profile page

1. In the AgentLink sidebar, select **Agent profile**.
2. Wait for the profile configuration to load.

## 2. Add payment handlers

Payment handlers declare how agents can complete purchases. You need at least one handler.

1. In the **Payment handlers JSON** field, enter a JSON array. Each handler needs a `type` and `name`.
For example, a store that takes payment through Shopify Checkout enters `[{"type": "shopify_checkout", "name": "Shopify Checkout"}]`.
2. Select **Save**.

## 3. Add a policy schema (optional)

1. In the **Machine-readable policy schema JSON** field, enter a JSON object with your store policies.
2. Select **Save**.

## 4. Set your profile to active

1. Set **Profile active** to **Active**.
2. Select **Save**.

## 5. Copy your public profile URL

1. Select **Copy profile URL** to copy the public discovery URL.
2. Share this URL with agents or services that need to discover your store.

The profile is published after you save it as active and run a readiness audit. There is no separate Publish button.
