# AgenticOps quickstart

AgenticOps is a Shopify embedded app that acts as an approval-gated operations autopilot. It reviews a store's inventory, content and SEO, and revenue signals, then generates recommendations that require human approval before any change is applied to the store.

## How a merchant signs in

AgenticOps uses Shopify OAuth. A merchant installs the app from Shopify, which starts OAuth and completes it on the callback. The app runs embedded inside Shopify admin. There is no separate sign-in; the authenticated Shopify admin session is the identity model.

## Shopify scopes

On install, the app requests the following Shopify access scopes:

* `read_products`
* `write_products`
* `read_orders`
* `read_inventory`
* `write_discounts`
* `read_discounts`

These scopes let the app read products, orders, and inventory, update products (for SEO and tag changes), and create discounts. The app also requests `read_customers` and `read_reports`; these are standard Shopify read permissions that AgenticOps includes at install but does not use to surface customer or report data in its analysis or recommendations. The app does not request theme or checkout scopes because it has no storefront presence.

## Surfaces

AgenticOps is an embedded admin app with no storefront theme extension, no app proxy, and no POS extension. Its externally reachable surfaces are the embedded admin UI, the health routes, the Shopify webhook endpoints, and the billing routes. There are no storefront-facing surfaces for a merchant's customers.
