# Age Verification

## What does this do for me?

Age Verification adds a date-of-birth gate to a Shopify storefront. On the Enterprise plan, it can require a document-backed identity check before checkout and run the same ID-check flow from a Shopify POS register.

The app runs inside Shopify admin. Merchants configure the gate in Settings, activate its theme app embed, and review customers, verification outcomes, privacy requests, billing, and—on Enterprise—the immutable audit log.
