# Target Shopify Segments

> Filter the abandoned-checkout list to the members of a Shopify customer segment for recovery.

# Target Shopify Segments

## What does this do for me?

Segment targeting limits the abandoned-checkout list to shoppers who belong to a Shopify customer segment, so you can focus recovery on a specific group.

## Before you begin

Segment targeting requires the **Advanced \$12.99** plan. Your Shopify store supplies the customer segments; the app reads them from your store.

## 1. Open Segments

1. Open **Segments** in Abandoned Cart Pro.
2. The status badge reads **Advanced segment targeting enabled** when your plan supports it, or **Advanced \$12.99 required for segment targeting** otherwise.

## 2. Pick a segment

1. Under **Available Shopify segments**, review each segment's name and query.
2. Select **Target this segment**. The abandoned-checkout list is then filtered to that segment's members.
3. If you have no segments yet, create one in **Customers › Segments** in Shopify admin and it appears here automatically.

## 3. Clear the filter

1. On **Abandoned checkouts**, a banner confirms you are filtered and shows how many matching carts are shown.
2. Select **Clear segment filter** to return to the full list, or **Change segment** to pick another.

If Shopify cannot authorize the segment query, the app shows a warning and falls back to the full unfiltered list rather than blocking the page.
