# Get Started with Abandoned Cart Pro

> Complete the Home setup steps, activate storefront tracking, and turn on recovery emails.

# Get Started with Abandoned Cart Pro

## What does this do for me?

This guide walks a store owner through the two setup steps the app tracks on the **Home** page. When both steps are done, the setup reminder stops appearing.

## Before you begin

Setup changes require the Shopify store account owner. Staff members see a read-only **Finish setting up** banner but cannot complete the steps. Cart recovery actions are available to authorized staff.

## 1. Find your setup steps

1. Open **Abandoned Cart Pro** in Shopify admin. The app opens on **Abandoned checkouts**, also called **Home**.
2. If setup is incomplete, the first element is a warning banner headed **Finish setting up: 1 of 2 steps left**.
3. Select **Show steps** to expand the list, or use the **Set up Abandoned Cart Pro** dialog if it opens.

The app derives two real steps from saved store state:

* **Connect the web pixel**
* **Turn on recovery emails**

## 2. Connect the web pixel

1. Select the **Connect the web pixel** step to open **Settings**.
2. Select **Activate web pixel**.
3. The app confirms with a message such as "Web pixel activated. Abandoned Cart Pro is now tracking cart and checkout events on your storefront."

The step only counts as done when the store has a connected pixel and the owner has saved the activation. Automatic reconciliation alone does not complete the step.

## 3. Turn on recovery emails

Automated recovery email sequences require the **Pro** plan.

1. Under **Settings**, open the **Recovery emails** section.
2. Select **Enable recovery emails**.
3. To use them, you must be on **Pro $4.99** or **Advanced $12.99**. From **Free**, use the **View plans and billing** button to upgrade first.

While a step is incomplete, the setup reminder stays. Selecting **Skip for now** hides the dialog for the current install but does not remove the warning banner.
